Privacy notice

Last updated: 6 November 2026

This notice explains what happens to your personal information when you visit this website or join the HoWA Living list. HoWA Home, HoWA Business and the main HoWA website have their own notices.

The short version

  • HoWA Living Ltd is responsible for the personal information collected on this website.
  • The only form on this site is the HoWA Living list. It asks for your email address, your first name and, if you like, what you would like Living to help with.
  • We use those details to send you HoWA Living news and invitations, because you asked us to. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Analytics cookies are off unless you turn them on. We use no advertising cookies.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Who we are

HoWA Living Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described here. HoWA Living Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company no. 15470281. Registered office: 12 Hatherley Road, Sidcup, Kent, DA14 4DT.

To ask about this notice or your information, email hello@howa.co.uk or write to us at the registered office.

What we collect, and why

When you join the HoWA Living list

  • Your email address and first name (both needed to join).
  • If you choose any, what you would like Living to help with: taste and inspiration, personal projects, everyday routines, planning occasions.
  • A record of your consent: when you joined, the version of this notice at the time, and the campaign link you arrived from, if there was one.

We use these details to send you HoWA Living development news and invitations to try early versions, and to make those emails more relevant to the interests you chose. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by joining the list. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing us.

Joining the list does not create a HoWA account and does not sign you up to any other HoWA emails. If you are also on another HoWA list, our email provider keeps one profile for your email address, with a separate subscription for each list.

Keeping the form safe

To stop spam and automated sign-ups, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that looks at technical signals from your browser and your IP address. We also use your IP address briefly, in the server's memory, to limit repeated attempts. It is not saved with your sign-up. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the list and the website from abuse.

Analytics, only if you agree

If you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to count page views, which links and buttons are used, which interest options are ticked and that the form was sent. It never receives your name, your email address or anything you type. Google receives technical information such as your browser, device and approximate location, which it works out from your IP address. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can change at any time under Cookie preferences. See our cookie notice.

Running the website

Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

If you email us

We use your email address and what you tell us to reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.

We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing, and we do not use your information for advertising.

Who helps us

These service providers handle personal information for us, under contract, only on our instructions and only for the purposes described here.

How long we keep it

  • The HoWA Living list: while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you and keep only your email address and the date you left, so that we do not email you again. If you ask us to delete your details, we remove them completely.

We will update this notice when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use the details you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
